POST-RELEASE: Closing Ceremony of MOST Sessions

Dear ICANN members,

In 2014 ICANN together with leading regional universities and multinational industrial companies has launched a new additional educational program MOST [in Russian MOCT, an acronym for International Education of Students].

The objective of this program is to increase the motivation of university students in the Nizhny Novgorod region to start a career in an international company and enhance their knowledge and key skills to do so successfully.

Collaborating universities:

—       the State University of Nizhny Novgorod named after N.I. Lobachevsky;

—       the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev.

On 3 June the Tripartite Agreement between ICANN-NNTU-UNN was signed.

Later the specialists from ICANN companies interviewed 90 students, but only 29 were selected for the program.

From 17 September to 20 December the students had 27 training sessions (in the following fields: Safety, Team work / team organization, Personal development / self-organization, Project / product cycle management, Production methods & technology, Quality, Logistics, Finance & ethics) and 13 excursions to the companies: Bosal-GAZ, Daido Metal Russia, Danieli Volga, Freudenberg Politex, Heineken, Lear, Liebherr – Nizhny Novgorod, Magna Automotive Rus, RusVinyl, Unilin, U-shin Access Mechanisms, Volkswagen Group Rus (2). All of them successfully passed the final test.

Yesterday (24 December) there was a closing ceremony of the training sessions at Unilin.
Ilya A. Koshunov (Deputy Minister of Education), Irina V. Nazarova (Director of Nizhny Novgorod Scientific Information Center), Evgeny G. Ivashkin (NNTU Vice-Rector for Training Activities), Aleksey V. Martynov (UNN Vice-Rector for Administration of University Branch Campuses), Alexander A. Pozdnyakov (POISK-NN) attended the event.

All of the participants went to the plant excursion. Then the students who were divided in 6 groups made their final presentations. Experts from ICANN companies assessed each group and gave their feedback on the result which was good. The students received the certificate with the information about the program and their test result. In summer they are going to have their internships / practices at the companies.
